Subang (July 18) – PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) together with state-owned defense industry companies under the DEFEND ID Holding, namely PT Len Industri (Persero), PT Dahana, and PT Pindad, officially opened a new classroom and handed over supporting facilities at SDN Danumaya Elementary School in Cibogo Subdistrict, Subang Regency, West Java. This initiative is part of the Company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) program focused on education, as well as a manifestation of DEFEND ID’s synergy in enhancing the quality of basic education in priority areas of the Holding’s social programs.

Education is one of the main pillars of national development. However, many elementary schools still face limitations in infrastructure and adequate facilities. SDN Danumaya is one such example, where classrooms are in poor condition with limited learning facilities. To address this need, DEFEND ID has collaborated to begin infrastructure improvements since June 10, 2025.

In this case, PTDI played an active role in the construction and renovation of classrooms, as well as equipping them with facilities such as tables, chairs, whiteboards, and other supporting equipment. Through this collaboration, DEFEND ID demonstrated its shared commitment to supporting safe, comfortable, and quality education in areas in need.

The inauguration was attended by representatives from all members of the DEFEND ID Holding, local government officials from Subang District, the Head of the Subang District Education Office, as well as school officials and local community members. This event serves as a tangible symbol of collaboration among holding members in expanding social benefits and promoting the achievement of sustainable development goals, particularly in the inclusive and quality education sector.

“Currently, there are 168 students at SDN Danumaya. Alhamdulillah, the rehabilitation of learning facilities and infrastructure, including the provision of desks and chairs, has been completed, making the children more comfortable, as well as the teachers’ desks. May PT Dahana, PT Len, PTDI, and PT Pindad, which have contributed their CSR and donations to SDN Danumaya, continue to thrive,” said Mr. Ujen, the Principal of SDN Danumaya.

PTDI TJSL Manager Kerry Apriawan said that this collaboration reflects DEFEND ID's active role in promoting a safer, more comfortable, and more suitable educational environment. "This initiative reflects the Company's commitment to contributing to education, especially in areas that are still lacking in facilities. We hope that the new classrooms and supporting facilities will instill a new spirit in the teaching and learning process for the students at SDN Danumaya," he said.

According to the Head of the Subang District Education Office, Mrs. Suryani, the improved infrastructure and facilities, including their completeness, will certainly enhance students' enthusiasm for learning. With the improvements made at SDN Danumaya through the DEFEND ID TJSL program, it is hoped that students can learn more effectively and achieve better results, enabling them to continue their education to the next level after graduating from elementary school.

As part of the series of activities, millennial representatives and BUMN Volunteer Batch 6 from PTDI also attended and participated in the teaching agenda at SDN Danumaya classroom. The involvement of PTDI's young generation reflects the spirit of sharing and concern for the future of children's education in the region, while also fostering direct connections between industry and the community.

PTDI is committed to continuing to promote integrated social initiatives that have a tangible impact in various regions. Through the TJSL program, the Company not only plays a role in the development of the national strategic industry but also acts as an active agent of social change supporting national development. This commitment will be further expanded through cross-sector collaboration to create sustainable contributions to society and drive the realization of a more advanced and competitive Indonesia.
